arriving in Paris, the 21-year-old shared photos of himself with the 14-time

will be the top seed after confirming her absence from the Olympic Games to
focus on her health following an injury that kept her out of Wimbledon.

No. 3 has now shared a video of herself on a hardcourt, showcasing her
impressive footwork skills as she keeps a ball from hitting the ground with her
feet. “We take footwork very seriously around here,” she captioned.
Andreescu’s Olympic dream comes true

Andreescu has often confessed that one of her biggest dreams was to reach the
Olympic Games. The Canadian arrived in Paris a day ago and today shared a video
from the Philippe Chatrier court at Roland Garros.
Andreescu
made her return to the WTA Tour just two months ago after a 10-month hiatus due
to a lengthy recovery from a back injury. At 23 years old, she will have the
chance to compete in the Olympics for the first time, in a venue where she
recently achieved good results.
At the
recent French Open, her first tournament since August 2023, she defeated
clay-court specialist Sara Sorribes Tormo and then the 23rd seed Anna
Kalinskaya. She was defeated in the third round by the eventual runner-up

although Navratilova criticized the poster: “Hope the show is better than this

Haddad Maia faces travel trouble: Lost suitcase drama just before Olympics

22 Beatriz Haddad Maia has suffered the loss of her suitcase upon arriving in
Paris for the 2024 Olympics. ‘Bia’ shared on her Instagram story that the
suitcase is still at Guarulhos Airport in São Paulo, but the airline has yet to
recover it.
“Almost 48
hours have passed and Swiss Airlines still haven’t found my suitcase,” the 2023
Roland Garros semifinalist wrote. “My air tag shows that the suitcase is still
at Guarulhos Airport but so far they haven’t solved the case. I need my
suitcase for the Olympics! Thanks to the BOC for their support.”
The
Brazilian's complaints come just three days before the start of the Olympic
Games: “Swiss Airlines, where is my suitcase? #SwissAirlines where is my
luggage for the Olympic Games?” the former world No. 10 added.

Gauff and Team USA stars shine in TikTok video
Coco Gauff
shared a video on TikTok with her Team USA tennis teammates. In the video, she
is seen making a presentation with Jessica Pegula, Emma Navarro, Danielle

Gauff will
compete in the singles draw as the second seed of the tournament and will also
play doubles alongside Jessica Pegula. The 21-year-old is Team USA’s main medal
hope in tennis, having reached the singles final at Roland Garros and recently
winning the doubles title with Czech player Katerina Siniakova.
Andy Murray receives heartfelt tributes from tennis colleagues
Andy Murray
has announced that Paris 2024 will mark his final appearance as a professional
tennis player. The two-time gold medalist revealed he will retire after the
Olympics, where he will compete in both the singles and doubles draws alongside
Dan Evans.
