There have been rumours going around off the court that Taylor Fritz and his partner, Morgan Riddle, have parted ways. However, these have been proven false by Riddle herself by commenting under an Instagram post.
The pair met around April 2026 on celebrity dating app Raya. They have been together for approximately six years now and have been one of the most notable couples on the tour, with Riddle regularly travelling alongside Fritz and supporting his tennis career.
However, that seemed to have concluded. On X, The Craig Shapiro Tennis Podcast tweeted to confirm that the two were no longer a couple on April 4. "Reliable sources telling me Fritz and Moorgs are no mas," he wrote on social media. The post went viral, gaining over 275,000 views and was met by a load of disappointed fans. Nevertheless, those sources may not have been as reliable as he would have expected.
On Instagram, Riddle herself seemingly confirmed that the news was fake, debunking any rumours that they were no longer a couple. Underneath a post unveiling the news, she tagged Fritz in the comment before writing: "Damn did you know about this?" before adding a couple of laughing emojis at the end.

Rumours debunked as Fritz looks toward improvement on court

If true, then that would have been another incident for Fritz that he could do without as he looks to find some momentum on court. So far, it has not been the best of years with early exits and injury concerns becoming more of a thing.
A couple of defeats in the United Cup were followed by a last-16 exit at the Australian Open to the hands of Lorenzo Musetti. He bounced back in fine fashion, going on a run to the Dallas Open final as he looked set for a busy period in his home country. It looked really promising when he gave himself three championship point opportunities, but failed to take any of them before Ben Shelton raced past him to secure the title.

Disappointing campaigns at Delray Beach, Indian Wells and Miami really dented Fritz's progress. He has opted to skip the Monte-Carlo Masters, the first Masters 1000 on clay in 2026, due to a knee issue. Notoriously known for not being the biggest fan of clay, this could be a period in which Fritz does not focus on as much compared to the likes of grass, a very strong surface for him.
Ultimately, not many points are on the line in this period, meaning that he has some time to rest and get back into the best physical condition possible. He has played in so many tournaments in recent times that his body was bound to run into some problems later down the line.
