duel was the women's singles, where Sofia Kenin ultimately gave the advantage

In a
remarkable performance by Hubert Hurkacz, he won the men's singles by 7-6(4),
tying the game count at 28-28 and securing a super-shootout tie-break. The
former world No. 1 Russian claimed victory with a score of 10-4, securing the
definitive advantage for his team with three extra points (31-28).
