The Australian Open champion said the crowd supports Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer more when he's playing against them.

Novak Djokovic has over 8.7 million followers on Twitter which translates to loyal fans he can count on during tours. But it seems the Serbian superstar is less supported by the crowd when he's playing major finals against fierce rivals Nadal and Federer.
Last year's Wimbledon final was one of those instances as the British crowd showed Federer more love. But Djokovic would go on to claim the title after five sets.
"When the crowd is chanting ‘Roger’ I hear ‘Novak’,” Djokovic told reporters at The All England Club. “It sounds silly, but it is like that.”
“Mentally this was a different level. It was probably the most demanding, mentally most demanding, match I was ever part of. It was a huge relief in the end. You work for, you live for these kind of matches.”
It has been widely suggested that Djokovic gets furious at the overwhelming support his rivals get from the crowd. But he has offered a new perspective and said he never intended to generate bad energy.
"I've read a lot of stuff suggesting that I am disliked but I really don't have that impression, especially off-court," Djokovic told a news conference at his tennis academy in the Serbian capital.
"Even if that was true, why would I want to add fuel to the fire? I don't want to stir up negative emotions. I have no ill feelings for people who don't support me. Having said that, I am not proud of my occasional reactions on the court as my passion gets the better of my self-control at times.
"I will always admit that I do make mistakes and I always try to learn from them. You reap what you sow and it is never my intention to generate bad energy."
The 32-year-old then admitted that fans generally support Nadal and Federer more. But he doesn't take it personal as it doesn't means the fans hate him.
"It is a fact that most fans support Federer and Nadal against me but that's due to what they represent in world tennis.
"It doesn't mean that fans hate me and it certainly doesn't mean that I need to turn Serbia against the rest of the world just because fewer people support me in Grand Slam finals."
