This year's US Open promises edge-of-your-seat action in both the men’s and women’s draws. The competition is fierce, with Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, and Jannik Sinner leading the charge as the top contenders for the men’s title. Meanwhile, Alexander Zverev and Daniil Medvedev are strong dark horses, poised to shake things up.

On the women’s side, all eyes are on Iga Swiatek, the tournament favorite. However, the Polish star has shown some vulnerability lately, with recent losses to Qinwen Zheng and Aryna Sabalenka, who looks unstoppable after her Cincinnati win. Add Jessica Pegula's current hot streak and defending champion Coco Gauff’s resilience, and you have a women’s tournament that's wide open.

How to Play the Fantasy US Open

Starting Monday, August 26, 2024, at 17:10, you can step into the shoes of a tennis strategist by participating in the Fantasy US Open. Here’s how it works:

  • Build Your Team: Assemble a squad of 30 tennis players from both the men’s and women’s tournaments. The players are divided into 12 groups, and you’ll need to carefully select a restricted number from each group who you believe will rack up the most points.
  • Scoring Points: Your players can earn points in various ways—winning matches, dominating in specific statistics like total games won, set differences, aces, 1st service percentage, return points percentage, and more. But beware—points can be deducted for double faults!
  • Match Scoring Example: Imagine Carlos Alcaraz faces Rafael Nadal and wins 6-4, 6-4, 6-2. Alcaraz would earn 150 points for the match win, 90 points for the games won, and another 90 points for the set difference, totaling 330 points. Add in his performance stats—like 15 points for aces, minus 3 for double faults, and other metrics—for a grand total of 361 points contributing to your team’s score.

Now it is also possible for the USA to play at Zweeler in the following states:

Alabama, Alaska, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wyoming.
