Juan Carlos Ferrero will not travel to the
Australian Open with
Carlos Alcaraz. The coach of the current world number 2 was recently operated on with an arthroscopy on his knee, so he will not be able to go to support his pupil in the first Grand Slam of 2024.
Thus, Ferrero is expected to spend some time on crutches and will not be able to accompany Alcaraz on the 2024 tour until the Indian Wells Masters 1000 to be held between March 6 and 17.
These days, however, despite the operation, Ferrero is not missing any training of the Murcian despite undergoing the surgery, he is just not in a position to fly. Carlos Alcaraz will make an exhibition in Saudi Arabia on December 27th and then Samuel Lopez will be the one who will act as coach traveling with him to play the Australian Open.
