In a new Daily Dose of Social Media, the off-season continues for the ATP and WTA stars, with recent photos being revealed of Novak Djokovic with the legendary footballer David Beckham during the last weekend at the F1 Qatar Grand Prix. On the other hand, Veronika Kudermetova celebrated her team's victory in the controversial Russian exhibition over the weekend—where she joined Medvedev, Khachanov, and Putintseva as the winning team.
Meanwhile, the stars are enjoying the off-season, with Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime sharing some photos with his wife—just three months after their wedding—while Leylah Fernandez dedicated a video on her Instagram to her main on-court outfits worn during 2025.

Beckham and Djokovic: F1 meeting in Qatar

One of the great sporting events took place at the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix over the past weekend, attended by none other than Novak Djokovic, who was in charge of presenting the trophies to the winners: Oscar Piastri, George Russell, and Lando Norris. This Monday, the legendary footballer David Beckham shared some photos from his time in Qatar, including one taken with Nole observing the action on the track from the stands: “Always an exciting race in Qatar 🏁 Loved seeing friends and meeting some new faces at the Grand Prix this weekend ❤️🏎️ @visitqatar” the former Real Madrid footballer posted.
Nole is enjoying his off-season time ahead of 2026, where he hopes to be a protagonist once again. After finishing the year as world No. 4, Nole will seek glory again at the Australian Open—after a couple of years dominated by Sinner and Alcaraz. His ranking, at least, will allow him to avoid the Spaniard and the Italian until a potential semi-final clash. Specifically, in his last four Major appearances during 2025, Nole ended up being eliminated in the semi-finals.

Rafael Nadal focuses on Academy

Rafael Nadal appeared in some photos with the former Portuguese player Nuno Marques, the Head Coach of the Rafa Nadal Academy in Kuwait, who traveled to Manacor for a few days with a team of players and coaches. The coach achieved a best ranking of world No. 86 in singles and No. 57 in doubles, winning one title in Casablanca 1997 alongside his compatriot João Cunha-Silva.
The 22-time Grand Slam champion recently received tributes in his home country, including one during the football match between Osasuna and Mallorca. Meanwhile, Nadal continues to use his time to oversee his academy and its branches around the world, recently announcing his first location in Brazil. A few days ago, he was also seen practicing with rising young star Alina Korneeva, the 2024 Roland Garros junior champion.

Auger-Aliassime enjoys off-court time with new wife

Felix Auger-Aliassime shared photos during the off-season with his wife, Nina Ghaibi, whom he recently married in September of this year in Marrakesh, just two weeks after the Canadian reached the US Open semi-finals—his first Grand Slam semi-final. Since then, the Canadian's level was impressive in the final part of the season, with a 12-5 record, also reaching the Paris Masters final—which secured his qualification for the ATP Finals, where he was eliminated in the semi-finals against Alcaraz.
Felix Auger-Aliassime finished the season on a high note that allowed him to climb to world No. 5, something unthinkable months ago, after staying outside the Top 25 until the end of August of this year.

Fernandez showcases 2025 outfits

Leylah Fernandez shared a Reel of her match outfits from the past season, following a great year in which she finished the season as world No. 22. The Canadian successfully reinstalled herself among the world's best, following a year where she won two titles: the WTA 250 Osaka Open and the WTA 500 DC Open.
In her latest Instagram post, the former US Open runner-up shared images of her entire season, ranging from the hardcourts of Australia at the beginning of the year, through the clay and grass courts during the European summer, to the outfits worn during the year's closing swings in North America and Asia. Fernandez posted: “Another year of outfits that just keep getting better and better. @lululemon killed it in 2025 like always ❤️”

Kudermetova celebrates victory at Gazprom-funded Russian exhibition

Veronika Kudermetova celebrated her team's victory over the weekend at the fourth edition of the Northern Palmyra Trophies (NPT), an exhibition held in St. Petersburg and financed by Gazprom, one of the main Russian state-owned companies. The tournament has continued to be celebrated during the conflict with Ukraine, which led the ATP and WTA to suspend Russia, requiring its representatives to play without a flag during recent years.
The former Top 10 player joined Yulia Putintseva, Daniil Medvedev, and Karen Khachanov to compete in the team tournament, which included singles and doubles matches. The tournament even featured a few foreign players—Kazakhs Putintseva and Alexander Bublik (both of Russian origin), and the Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, who was one of the most criticized for joining the controversial exhibition tournament, which is financed by the energy giant allegedly considered one of Russia’s main sources of money amid the war.
