Nick Kyrgios has received a suspended 16-week ban and a $25k fine due to 'aggravated behaviour' after a recent ATP hearing, it has been revealed.
This was triggered after he was recently $113,000 for five separate offences including smashing two racquets; during his match with Karen Khachanov in Cincinnati which took place in
August.
Now the hearing has concurred that Kyrgios' pattern of behaviour; over the past 12 months is in violation of their code.
Both the fine and suspension will both be triggered; if he does not comply with conditions set up including code violations on court.
Kyrgios took to social media and said that he is on 'probation' and that he has to keep a lid on his behaviour as a result.
"Everyone, I can still play," wrote Kyrgios on social media. "I'm just on probation.
"I just have to keep a lid on my behaviour, that's all."
