Matteo Berrettini has confirmed that he is no longer dating model and TV presenter, Melissa Satta after a relationship that lasted just over a year. They made their relationship public back in January 2023, but there were rumours as of late that their relationship was on the rocks.
The couple were last spotted together at the 2024 Australian Open. However when they did not share any public messages on both her birthday on February 7 and also Valentine's Day a week later, reports feared that it was over. But in an online press conference, he confirmed they had called it quits.
The Italian tennis star previously dated Ajla Tomljanovic which was the subject of some of Netflix Break Point and also Satta received criticism from tennis fans about halting Berrettini's career so he could spend time with her which he massively denied.
"I figured the question would come. Melissa and I are no longer together," he said in his press conference, as per Corriere dello Sport.
"We have a beautiful relationship, we have great respect for each other, I won't go beyond this because I don't like talking about my private life, I thank you for this beautiful year," he said.
Also he confirmed that he will make his return at a challenger in Phoenix after a long period out. This in turn means he will make a less high profile return than at Indian Wells, but the plan is still to play Miami in the coming month.
