Paula Badosa set to miss Hopman Cup due to injury as dream pairing with Alcaraz denied

Paula Badosa will not form the dream Spain duo with Carlos Alcaraz after withdrawing from the Hopman Cup with injury, it has been confirmed.
Badosa lost out early to Marta Kostyuk at Wimbledon and seemed to rush back too quickly from injury with her subsequent participation in the Mixed Doubles nixed which prompted a funny response from her boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas.
It is unsure if it is a new injury or related to the previous one and the recovery time needed for it set to continue.
But it will likely be that she will rehab and continue to get match sharp ahead of the US Open.
It means though that Alcaraz will have a new partner with Rebeka Masarova set to team with him in the mixed doubles competition which will be played in Nice between 19-23 July, 2023.
