Roger Federer has recently played an exhibition match in Tokyo against John Isner, after which he spoke about his plans in 2020.

Following the quarterfinal disappointment in Shanghai against Zverev, Federer hit a few strokes with Isner in an exhibition match in Japan. After the match, he spoke about his ambitions for the year 2020, in which the Olympic Games take part in Tokyo.
‘I’ve been debating with my team for a few weeks now or a month, what I should do in the summertime after Wimbledon in terms of also before the US Open and at the end of the day my heart decided I would love to play the Olympic Games again,’ said Federer after playing an exhibition against John Isner in Tokyo on Monday.
Federer managed to win a gold medal in doubles with Stan Wawrinka in 2008 in Beijing, defeating Aspelin and Johansson in the final. 4 years later he lost to Andy Murray in All England Club 6-2, 6-1 and 6-4 to take home the silver medal. Next year he will try to earn another medal for his country.
‘I carried the flag twice for Switzerland in Athens and Beijing as well, I got a gold and a silver so I’d love to play again, I’m very excited.’
