Jack Sock returned to action at the Fairfield Challenger which many would say is a surprise given the amount of tournaments he has played this year.

Sock said that he doesn't get that people still hate on him despite him only playing a few events.
It wasn't to be for the American though as he lost out to British prospect Jack Draper who was just too much for him.
"People will still like to hate on me this year and I played like five events and not many matches," said Sock after competing in the Fairfield Challenger.
For the American, the Laver Cup was very much a confidence booster: "I'm definitely playing with more confidence after that event, with more energy and more positivity..."
He also gave credit to the organisers despite defeat to the Briton and said that he hopes to be confident and take something into the rest of the year.
"The organizers are great, the refs are great and the venue is amazing."
"I'm going to try to finish off the year on a good note."
