In a new Daily Dose of Social Media, Venus Williams and Emma Raducanu shared snapshots of their notable runs at the DC Open, where both achieved great results and left good impressions. The 7-time Grand Slam champion made a triumphant return to the courts at 45 years old, while the Brit reached her first WTA 500 semifinal of her career.

On the other hand, Stan Wawrinka stole the show by joining a renowned DJ on stage at a concert in Croatia, while Emma Navarro participated in a fun video trying Canadian food.

Emma Navarro participated in a video trying typical Canadian cuisine during her participation at the Montreal Open. The world No. 12 was featured in a Canadian Open video titled 'A Taste of Canada,' where she sampled 'maple Beaver Tails,' a traditional Canadian dessert preparation in the Montreal area.

The American entered the tournament as the 8th seed and debuted with a win in the second round against local favorite Rebecca Marino (6-1, 6-2), securing her passage to the Round of 32. This Thursday, she will return to the court to face 30th seed Dayana Yastremska from Ukraine, aiming for a spot in the Round of 16.

Emma Raducanu shared a series of photos capturing her experience at the DC Open, where she had a strong performance that is promising for the rest of the hardcourt swing. The former US Open champion recorded a series of wins at the DC Open, reaching the semifinals by defeating Marta Kostyuk, Naomi Osaka, and Maria Sakkari, before falling in the semifinals to Anna Kalinskaya. This marked her first appearance in a WTA 500 semifinal, allowing her to climb in the ranking to world No. 33. "fun week in dc ~> straight to it in montréallll 🍁" she posted.

Denis Shapovalov was part of a dog adoption campaign at the Canadian Open in the preceding days, and this Tuesday brought good news on social media after it was confirmed that 'Bolt' – a rescued dog featured alongside Shapovalov in the campaign – was adopted by a family in Toronto. The former world No. 10 showed his affection for dogs by being the face of the dog adoption campaign and quickly helped find a new home for Bolt.

Venus Williams shared a series of photos from her time at the DC Open, following her notable return to the courts after 15 months. The 45-year-old player is far from contemplating retirement and demonstrated on the Washington hardcourts that she still has the level to compete, after defeating world No. 35 Peyton Stearns in the first round – before falling in the second round to 5th seed Magdalena Frech.

The seven-time Grand Slam champion also competed in women's doubles alongside Hailey Baptiste, where they secured a win before falling in the quarterfinals. Williams recently confirmed her presence at the Cincinnati Open – where she received a wildcard – and is also on the final entry list for the US Open mixed doubles alongside Reilly Opelka, after receiving a wildcard.

Stan Wawrinka surprised fans at a Steve Aoki concert by joining the acclaimed North American DJ onstage during his performance. Aoki was performing in Umag this week, precisely where the three-time Grand Slam champion competed. The Swiss player took the time to attend the concert of the renowned record producer, recognized as one of the best DJs in the world, and even became part of the show by getting on stage and posing for several photos with him.

Wawrinka, 40, secured a victory in the first round of the tournament against Ecuadorian Alvaro Guillen Meza (6-4, 6-1), but then fell in the round of 16 to Bosnian Damir Dzumhur (4-6, 5-7). Wawrinka – currently world No. 152 – is not confirmed for the American hardcourt swing tournaments at the Canadian Open and Cincinnati Open, nor is he entered in the US Open (where due to his ranking he would have to play qualifying). It remains to be seen if he will receive a wildcard from the organization, something that will be confirmed in the coming weeks, and which he has received previously.
