Novak Djokovic enlists the help of his son Stefan Djokovic as he prepares for his first-round match at
Wimbledon.
23-time Grand Slam champion Djokovic begins his defence of the Wimbledon trophy today, Monday July 3. This is a title which he has won four consecutive times, adding to seven overall wins at the grasscourt major. These wins serve as evidence that on this surface, he is currently the strongest player on the
ATP Tour.
There is no doubt that Djokovic is the favourite going into Wimbledon 2023. He has been undefeated on Centre Court for ten years, when the only other player in the draw to have beaten him,
Andy Murray, took the win in the 2013 final.
This year is particularly important, as if Djokovic were to claim victory at the SW19 again, he would equal Federer's record 8 wins at the tournament. It is clear, therefore, that the pressure is on, and Djokovic has enlisted the help of a special advisor, his eight-year-old son Stefan Djokovic.
Stefan himself is a budding tennis player, having won his very first competition last year, on the same day that his father won the 2022 Italian Open.
Djokovic faces Argentina's Pedro Cachin in the first round of Wimbledon on Monday, July 3.
