Who does ESPN pick for majors in 2024 with first time winners and swansong win for Nadal mooted

With the 2023 Grand Slam season now over as a result of the US Open concluding, attention now turns towards the start of the 2024 season in terms of Grand Slam tournaments. ESPN have already made their picks for next year of who will win in men's and women's.
Some interesting choices as at the Australian Open, two players who have been recent Grand Slam winners and seen as the future of the sport Carlos Alcaraz and Coco Gauff are seen as adding to their tally. ESPN believes for the former, he has a point to prove and that Gauff will take huge positives and self-belief that she can perform on the biggest stage after getting over the hurdle in New York.
But the French Open is where it gets interesting. Rafael Nadal who is mooted for a return in 2024 is picked to seal the title in what could be the final swansong for the Spaniard. ESPN giving the reasoning that despite the lay-off, he is still the King of Clay.
The Queen of Clay in Iga Swiatek who has made the surface her own is seen as the pick on the Women's Side to make it four trophies in Paris. While at Wimbledon, it is very much return to business as usual with Novak Djokovic seen as the main man to watch, but also redemption with Ons Jabeur looking to finally make her major breakthrough at the third time of asking.
The US Open finally went rogue again with Ben Shelton seen as backing up his semi-final run with a title win and Aryna Sabalenka herself aiming to seal redemption after crumbling against Coco Gauff and as new World No.1, she will look to prove she is the dominant force in Women's Tennis. Could she be Queen of New York next year?
