Caroline Wozniacki's brother Patrik says on TV2 DK that his sister trained with Simona Halep in Monaco and also with Donna Vekic where at one point Wozniacki won a practice set by 6-1.
It seems that Caroline Wozniacki's comeback has been in the offing for a little while with information confirmed by her brother about prior practice as of late.
Wozniacki's brother Patrik was on TV2 DK, a channel in Denmark and said that his sister had been training with Simona Halep and Donna Vekic.
As well as that, she also won a practice set during that time 6-1. The player in question who she did that to was unnamed so will remain a mystery for now.
Wozniacki announced her comeback earlier this week citing multiple reasons including wanting to be like Kim Clijsters, Victoria Azarenka, and Serena Williams and coming back after becoming a mother to show that it can be done.
A wildcard has been given for the Canadian Open also known as the National Bank Open (Rogers Cup) which will start her comeback seemingly. She then intends to play the US Open and Australian Open.
As well as the Olympic Games next year in a partnership with Holger Rune, her fellow Dane.
“Over these past three years away from the game I got to make up for lost time with my family, I became a mother and now have two beautiful children I am so grateful for," she said in the Vogue piece.
But I still have goals I want to accomplish. I want to show my kids that you can pursue your dreams no matter your age or role. We decided as a family it’s time. I’m coming back to play and I can’t wait!"
