WTA Silicon Valley Classic to combine with ATP Citi Open Washington and become a 500 tournament

The ATP and WTA will be combining two separate events to create a brand new mixed event this summer, enabling fans to witness their favorite stars at the same venue.
The WTA Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic will be combined with the ATP Citi Open Washington to become the Mubadala Citi DC Open beginning in 2023. This will be the first ever ATP-WTA 500 event in the world on the tour calendar.
The event will be hosted in Washington, D.C, and is slated to run from July 29 – August 6, 2023, at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Rock Creek Park in the nation's capital.
