Viktoriya Tomova is a Bulgarian professional tennis player born on February 25, 1995, in Sofia, Bulgaria. She turned professional in 2013.
Tomova's highest WTA singles ranking has been world No. 106, which she achieved on July 23, 2018. She has won six singles titles and one doubles title on the ITF Circuit.
In 2015, Tomova made her debut for the Bulgaria Fed Cup team. She has since played in several Fed Cup ties for Bulgaria and has a win-loss record of 9-8 in singles and 5-5 in doubles.
Tomova is known for her aggressive baseline play, powerful groundstrokes, and a solid serve. Her favourite surface is clay.
Some of Tomova's notable achievements include reaching the third round of the 2018 Wimbledon Championships, where she defeated Kristyna Pliskova and Anna Blinkova before losing to Julia Görges. She also reached the final of the ITF $80k tournament in Cagnes-sur-Mer, France, in 2018, where she lost to Marta Kostyuk.
