Linda Fruhvirtova was cruising against Victoria Azarenka who clearly had some issues as the Belarusian player retired midway through the 2nd set at the Miami Open.
16-year old Linda Fruhvirtova made her WTA 1000 debut last year at the Miami Open and this year she is enjoying her best outing at a professional event so far. The Czech player faced Victoria Azarenka and she gave her a lot of trouble from the start. Azarenka was out of sorts from the get-go as the youngster was able to take an early lead.
Azarenka pulled it back but the Czech player broke her once more for the 4-2 lead. That lead became a 6-2 1st set finish as Azareank continued to struggle. It was not clear what bothered Azarenka because she did not ask for MTO. Things did not change much in the 2nd set as Fruhvirtova took an early 3-0 lead after which Azarenka retired.
