Another player to announce her withdrawal from this year's US Open is 2004 champion Svetlana Kuznetsova. She is now part of a growing list of players not to be involved at Flushing Meadows citing Coronavirus concerns.

Kuznetsova will also not be at the Western & Southern Open which starts on Aug 22; she joins No.31 Barbora Strycova and No.108, Wing Xiyu to withdraw on Monday.
"I feel very sad, because I have been (waiting) for these tournaments so much, but the pandemic changes all plans," she wrote on Instagram.
There are now 16 players on the Women's side of the draw at the US Open to announce their withdrawal; which includes three of the top seven (Ashleigh Barty #1, Elina Svitolina #5 and Kiki Bertens #27).
Both Kuznetsova and Strycova in particular were set to be seeded at the US Open; with Qiang Wang (29) and Anastasia Pavlychenkova (30) just ahead of them also relinquishing their spots.
