Next week, the Adelaide Internation takes place as the last stop in this year's Aussie swing, with 28 players battling for $68,570 and 470 WTA points.

World no. 1 Ashleigh Barty took a wild card, ready for more tennis after the Australian Open quarter-final loss to Karolina Muchova, seeking the second title of the season after the Yarra Valley Classic. Barty will face Danielle Collins or Saisai Zheng in the second round before a possible quarter-final clash with the Roland Garros champion Iga Swiatek.

aThe Australian Open doubles champion Elise Mertens and Qiang Wang are the seeded players in the second quarter, with Kristina Mladenovic, Jil Teichmann, Anastasiaja Sevastova and Caroline Garcia also hoping the reach the quarters from there. Petra Martic, Johanna Konta and Shelby Rogers are the players to beat in the third quarter, while Yulia Putintseva and Belinda Bencic lead the bottom quarter.

The finalist will receive $51,000 and 305 points, with $32,400 and 185 reserved for the semi-finalists. Those who reach the quarters take home $15,500 and 100 points, and the second round secures $8,200 and 55 points.
