One of the final WTA events of the year will be the Upper Austria Ladies Linz event where players will compete in the 2nd week of November. It's an indoor hard court event that should benefit players that enjoy playing very aggressive tennis along with those that possess a good serve. It's a WTA 250 event with $235,238 prize money.
The event is a returning one with the 2021 edition to be its 31st time the WTA Linz event is held. It was held in 2020 during the pandemic as well and a very strong event was won by Aryna Sabalenka who defeated Elise Mertens in the final. The event is usually held in October but due to the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, it got pushed back to November.
