2022 Roland Garros WTA Final: Swiatek vs Gauff

The 2022 WTA Roland Garros finishes tomorrow with the final between Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff where the Polish player is favoured.

It's going to be a very interesting match between Gauff and Swiatek. Both of them have played very solid tennis in Paris for two weeks to reach this stage with Swiatek hunting her 2nd grand slam trophy and Gauff her first. Stylistically it's an interesting matchup where Swiatek should decide the points.

Gauff will cover the court quickly and she will be on many balls trying to force Iga to overhit. Sometimes she will but sometimes she won't. If she keeps up her level of consistency and the ability to problem solve on the fly she will have a good chance. They played two times so far in their careers. The first match was on clay in Rome last year and Iga won 7-6(3) 6-3.

A fairly solid effort from Gauff but Swiatek proved better. The other match happened this year in Miami with Iga winning 6-3 6-1. It's hard to predict what will happen tomorrow but Swiatek not winning it would be quite an upset. That much is certain.
