The WTA tour will make one of it's two stops on the African continent when it's stars visit Rabat, Morocco for the 2024
Rabat Open, which will be held from May 19-25, 2024.
A WTA 250 event, the Rabat Open will be the final clay court tournament before
Roland Garros. Therefore, players will descend upon the beautiful city of Rabat as they finalize their strategies for the only Grand Slam of the season played on clay.
Andreescu returns to tour, Bronzetti hopes to defend title
Former World No.3
Bianca Andreescu will make her return to the WTA tour, after being sidelined since August 2023 due to injury. The Canadian star hopes to compete at the Paris Olympic Games, and will therefore need as much match play as possible on clay courts.
Defending champion
Lucia Bronzetti shocked the tennis community when she won the title last year. The Italian returns as the third seed, but will face challenges from the likes of Yue Yuan, Anna Blinkova and Egypt's Mayar Sherif. Below is the full list of entrants.
