2024 Rome Open (Italian Open) WTA ENTRY LIST featuring defending champion Elena Rybakina, Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka (Update - 01-05)

The entry list has been confirmed ahead of the 2024 Rome Open also known as the Italian Open and Internazionali BNL d'Italia for sponsorship purpose which begins on May 7 - May 19, 2024 and sees Elena Rybakina as defending champion. She defeated Anhelina Kalinina in the final last year 6-4, 1-0 in the end.

Kalinina was left in tears on court after defeat while it was another tournament that shone the spotlight on scheduling issues in particular for Rybakina despite winning the tournament. A feeling she knows too well at this point. Others in the field this year include clay queen, Iga Swiatek who lost last year in the Quarter-Finals to Rybakina with injury as defending champion in which she defeated Ons Jabeur in 2022 and in 2021, she famously thumped Karolina Pliskova 6-0, 6-0 so a third title will be on her mind this time.

Aryna Sabalenka has been training hard on clay as of late and will be joined by Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Maria Sakkari among others in the field. Naomi Osaka, Angelique Kerber, Paula Badosa and Amanda Anisimova are all in with protected rankings. Currently Emma Raducanu will play qualifying, while Karolina Muchova is continued to be out with injury.
