Angelique Kerber will be attempting a comeback in the future after giving birth for the first time this year and she is backed by Anke Hubert to do so successfully.
Becoming a mother for tennis players is always a big moment because your life transforms in a very noticeable way making things a bit more complicated. The life of a tennis player involves a lot of travelling and it just doesn't fit that well with being a mother most of the time. It takes a bit more effort to coordinate all of that but it can be done.
Players like Azarenka is the prime example of how it can be done well with Svitolina being a recent example as well. Former player Huber thinks Kerber will handle it fine as well:
"We wrote to each other once or twice after the birth of her child. She definitely wants to come back, you can hear that from all sides. If she really wants that, I don't see anything that speaks against it."
Huber added:
"A few other players have already shown that it's possible: Maria, Azarenka or Clijsters, for example, and Svitolina has also played again. In the future, more and more players with children will be on the tour and I think it's nice that it's like that. In Stuttgart we would definitely welcome Angie again with open arms."
