Stefanos Tsitsipas would like to see more events on clay and grass compared to hard courts because the believes the career of players would be longer.
Stefanos Tsitsipas was asked about the message that he left on the camera following his win in Monte-Carlo where he seemingly bemoaned the lack of clay courts in the US. He went on to explain that he would like to see more events on clay and grass because he believes that players would benefit from that:
"I've spoken about how I like the idea of [the] ATP sort
of having more tournaments on clay and grass because these are very
good for your body and I think a lot of players would agree with me on
that. That we can have a longer careers by playing on the surfaces
and that most injuries in fact come from hard courts."
Tsitsipas has established himself as one of the better clay players becoming one of his better surfaces a well. He still enjoys playing on hard courts but would like to see more variety on the tennis tour. In any case, he thinks that the hard court season is too long considering how taxing it is on the body.
