During the sixth day of play at the US Open, the first three players secured a seat among the last 16 without losing the set.

Taylor Townsend played her match on Louis Armstrong's court, and everyone wondered how this American would be doing after winning over Simon Halep in the second round.
Townsend had already go through qualifying at the tournament and so it was her sixth match in Flushing Meadows. In 4 out of 5 matches at the tournament American ended the match in the third set. Townsend after winning over Halep managed to deal with the other opponent and advances into the fourth round in two sets 7-5 and 6-2.
At the same time, Elise Mertens played on Grandstand. She played against Petkovic, who managed to beat Petra Kvitova in the second round. But against Mertens, she did not surprise and the Belgian continues without losing the set at the US Open.
The last of these three players was Bianca Andreescu, who played a match on Arthur Ashe's Stadium. Andreescu faced former world no.1 Caroline Wozniacki and it was the first big test for a young Canadian.
Andreescu overcame Wozniacki in the same way as in Auckland when she defeated her 6-4, 6-4. Bianca Vanessa continues the tournament without losing a set and will meet Taylor Townsend in the next round.
