Andreescu smashed by Tsurenko at Roland Garros

Bianca Andreescu is out of Roland Garros (French Open) after getting beaten by Lesia Tsurenko 6-1 6-1 in a very poor effort that saw her commit four times as many errors and she had winners.

Bianca Andreescu was playing so well at this year's Roland Garros beating some good players in the previous rounds to book a 3rd round. She looked comfortable and confident in her level but it all went up in smoke when she stepped onto the court against Tsurenko. The Ukranian played a really strong and aggressive match putting a lot of pressure on Andreesuc and she couldn't handle it.

The match lasted a little over an hour (63 minutes) with Andreecus winning only two games. She won two games a piece and it was easy to spot pretty early on that she didn't have it. Unforced errors, bad mistakes, frustration, all of it was visible. 12 unforced errors in the first set and 10 more in the second. Six winners in total in the entire match, it was just a terrible match from Andreescu.

She's prone to them, especially in the last year or so. She would play one or two good matches and then just play a terrible one. That's what happened this time around and what's even worse is that she plays so badly that she can't even wiggle her way out of it. Credit to Tsurenko who pounced with a very solid performance. 20 winners from the Ukranian in 14 games.
