Andreescu to quarterfinals, Wozniacki undefeated at Virtual Madrid Open

After 2 days of intense gaming, we know the full line-up of quarterfinalists at the Virtual Madrid Open. The last group that needed 2nd player to advance, was Group 2. However, Caroline Wozniacki and Bianca Andreescu took care of things to make the line-up clear.

After Ferro and Bencic advanced from Group 1. Cirstea and Konta from Group 3 and Bertens and Vekic from Group 4, we waited for the last matches to finish also in Group 3.

Caroline Wozniacki knew that she will be the part of last 8 already yesterday, as she triumphed in both of her appearances. Today, the Danish player faced Madison Keys and got a 3-0 victory.

Then, Keys faced also Kristina Mladenovic to who she lost. With Andreescu and Mladenovic both having a victory over Keys and loss against Wozniacki, the last match of the evening decided everything. The young Canadian didn't let things slip out of her hands and triumphed 3-0 to book her quarterfinal spot.
