Emma Raducanu has once again updated her fans on her work ahead of her return to the WTA Tour.
Since winning the 2021 US Open title, the 20-year-old tennis player has struggled with injuries that have prevented her from consistently competing in tournaments. She has not been able to secure any additional titles and has faced early defeats.
Raducanu last competed at the Stuttgart Open in April of this year, where she was eliminated in the first round by Jelena Ostapenko (6-2, 6-1) on the clay courts of Stuttgart.
Following that, she withdrew from the Madrid Open and announced a break from her career to undergo surgery on both of her wrists and take a few months for a proper recovery before returning to the tour in 2024.
Raducanu, who became the first British woman to win a Grand Slam since Virginia Wade in 1977 Wimbledon, has only played nine matches this year and has fallen out of the top 100 rankings.
On social media, the former world No. 10 posted a video of herself working out in the gym, generating expectations for her recovery:
"Arrive to Paris, straight to the gym," she captioned the video.

She recently responded in an interview with BBC Sport, confirming her return in 2024:
"Next season, I'll be back. This season, all the slams were finished, so it was difficult to watch them go by, but I was trying to stay in my lane as much as possible and keep focused on my recovery," Emma Raducanu mentioned.
Despite not achieving major results this year, the young tennis player had a notable performance at Indian Wells, being the only tournament where she won two matches since September 2022 at the Korea Open.
During her time at Indian Wells in March of this year, she reached the round of 16, with victories over Danka Kovinic, Magda Linette (20th), and Beatriz Haddad Maia (13th). However, in the round of 16, she faced the world No. 1 at the time, Iga Swiatek, who defeated her with a convincing score of 6-3, 6-1.
