Simona Halep won her first match at the Indian Wells Masters against Marta Kostyuk, but she also conceded that her attitude on the court was not very good.
It was a solid performance by Halep in the 2nd round of the event against Kostyuk but the Romanian showed a lot of frustration during the match. Never one to be satisfied easily Halep was frustrated with her play on several occasions. She admitted as much after the match saying:
“I came here a little more aggressive than normal and I’m trying to improve my game and myself. My attitude was not great but I’m going to keep working and it’s just a pleasure to be back and to win a match at Indian Wells.”
Halep will get a chance to better her attitude and her play later today when she takes to the main court once again. Her opponent will be Sasnovich who already defeated one tennis superstar at the vent this year in Emma Raducanu. Halep will need to be careful not to repeat that but her experience should see her power through.
