Ashleigh Barty outplayed Kiki Bertens in 2 hours and 22 minutes 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 to reach the final at the China Open.

The world number one started the match much better when she won all of the first 9 rallies. Barty was leading already 5-2 and 40-0, but she struggled with converting set points when she needed 6 of them to win the first set 6-3.
However, in the second set, it was Bertens who started Better. She has won first 6 points in a row and managed to break Barty's serve. Both players then comfortably held their serves and so Bertens won the set 6-3.
In the decisive set, there was a lot to play for and we have seen up to 4 lost service games. Bertens was leading already 5-3 when it seemed she is going to secure the spot in the finals, but the opposite was true. Barty managed to level the score and tie-break decided about the first finalist at the China Open. There Barty managed to convert her second match ball and won it 9-7. In the final she will meet the winner of the match between Osaka and Wozniacki.
