John Millman defeated Reilly Opelka to reach finals in Tokyo and was later joined by Novak Djokovic who dealt with David Goffin.
Opelka's serve was not at it's best today, when he scored just 13 aces in the match. Therefore he lost the first set 3-6, when he allowed his opponent to get to 3 break balls. However, in the second set it was Opelka who had a set ball, but did not convert it. The set was decided in a tie-break, where Millman used his first match ball to reach the finals at the
Japan Open.
The second match was played for the same amount of time as the first one. An hour and half was enough for Djokovic to get through Goffin. Although Goffin had 4 break ball opportunities, he did not use any as Djokovic was keeping a high-level of points after the first serve. He won up to 87% of those, what led him to a comfortable win 6-3 and 6-4.
