Naomi Osaka turned the match with Bianca Andreescu to reach semifinals at the China Open and broke her 16 matches winning streak.
The match started better for Andreescu, she was leading already 5-1 in the first set, but Osaka managed to level the score and Andreescu had to fight in order to win the first set 7-5.
In the second set, the US Open champion Andreescu was winning already 3-1, but since then she did not win a single game in the second set and lost it 3-6.
Almost identical situation happened also in the 3rd set, when Andreescu was leading 3-1 again, but lost the set 4-6 and so she lost her first match since her comeback after the injury.
Osaka will be facing Caroline Wozniacki in the semifinals at the China Open.
