Barty, Kvitova and Kenin all through to the 3rd round at the China Open

Tuesday at the China Open in Beijing began well for the seeded players, when Kvitova, Barty and Kenin managed to win their matches.

World number one Ashleigh Barty continues in good shape in China after reaching the semifinal at the Wuhan Open. In the first round, the first seeded player avoided the match and entered the second round relaxed. She won the match 6-4 and 6-2 in an hour and 17 minutes.

Sofia Kenin defeated Garbine Muguruza in the first round. Kenin outplayed Pavlyuchenkova a week ago at the Wuhan Open 2-0 and repeated it in Beijing. In an hour and 10 minutes she won 6-3 and 6-2.

Petra Kvitova won 8 match of 9 against Kristina Mladenovic. Czech also followed the good form from the Wuhan Open, where, like Barty, she reached the semifinals. She outplayed Mladenovic 6-4 and 6-4 in an hour and 25 minutes.

Daria Kasatkina interrupted a streak of 4 lost matches when she coped with Wuhan Open winner Aryna Sabalenka. Of the first 4 matches, this one was the most exciting when Kasatkina won 6-4 and 7-6.
