Danielle Collins in public speaking after tennis?
Chris Evert thinks so as she mooted her future career when she leaves the sport at the end of 2023.
Collins defeated Daria Kasatkina on Sunday to seal the 2024 Charleston Open title. Back-to-back glories for Collins who won the Miami Open last week. All of this while stating her intention which she has since confirmed on many occasions to still be the case to retirement at the end of the season.
Without the pressure, it has perhaps aided Collins and she is producing some of the tennis of her life. She will eventually reach the top 10 and will play the Olympic Games more than likely too surging ahead of Madison Keys in the race for the third spot. She also gained a lot of fans with her post match speech including Evert with it centering around her dog, Quincy.
"Mr. Q was so missed this week, so I can't wait to give him a big hug. I know he's freaking out over there because he sees me, and he's desperate to get on court. So I'm going to have to wrap this up, because I'm driving him nuts right now. So thank you. Thank you to everybody. Thank you also to everyone that came out here and supported us this week," Collins said.
"Maybe public speaking next for Danielle Collins? ! ," Evert posted on X (formerly Twitter).
