Coco Gauff is through to the
Roland Garros quarterfinal for the 2nd year in a row and Mats Wilander was very impressed with her play.
Gauff reached the quarterfinal last year as well but this year her run to that stage of the event has been even more impressive. There are still the typical Gauff issues but for the most part, the American has been spectacular. She is very quick and she moves incredibly well around the court which left Mats Wilander very impressed. He spoke about her win over Mertens saying:
"The whole crowd is going to behind her. She is unbelievably good. Her movement is absolutely incredible on the clay courts".
That's her main strength at this time and if she can keep her serve at a high level it will be very hard to defeat for anybody. Up next for her at the
French Open is former finalist Sloane Stephens.
