Coco Gauff shakes off poor Doha outing with impressive win in Dubai

Coco Gauff returned to winning ways in Dubai beating Aliaksandra Sasnovich in straight sets 6-0 6-4 to shake off the bad performance from Doha against Kudermetova.

Gauff had major issues with her forehand in the windy conditions of Doha the past week but she returned to winning ways in Dubai beating Sasnovich comfortably. The Belarussian hasn't played like herself for a while and that was good for Gauff because she needed a convincing win to rebuild her confidence.

It could not have been better than how it went. The first set was 6-0 to Gauff as Sasnovich struggled with her serve to commit four doubles faults and that was the least of her problems. She upped her level in the second set but it was still not enough as Gauff was on every ball. The players traded several breaks and it looked interesting when Sasnovich battled back from 2-4 to 4-4 but Gauff didn't allow a full comeback and ended it 6-4.
