Mirra Andreeva, perhaps the greatest female tennis talent of the future today, has teamed up with Spanish legend Conchita Martinez. This is what Puntodebreak journalist José Morón reports, without confirming whether it is a short-term agreement, i.e. on a one-off basis, or whether she will become her coach in the long term.
In a photograph, Conchita appears with Andreeva training during the clay court tour. It is worth remembering that the 16-year-old Russian prodigy rose to fame last year with her performance at the Mutua Madrid Open. There, she entered the WTA 1000 with a wildcard, and made the most of it: defeating Leylah Fernandez in the first round.
Last February 12, 2024, Mirra Andreeva managed to reach number 33 in the WTA Ranking, her record, to become the youngest player in the entire Top 100. Without a doubt, the very young tennis player has a lot of talent, and Conchita Martinez, who among other players also managed Garbiñe Muguruza or Marie Bouzkova in the past, besides having been captain of the Spanish national team in both the Federation Cup and the men's Davis Cup.
