Today in our
Daily Dose of Social Media, we review the most
significant activities and
Entertainment from ATP and WTA players. A recent photo of
Emma Raducanu and
Carlos Alcaraz in Málaga caught everyone's attention on social media, while
Iga Swiatek delivered a memorable celebration after leading Poland to the
Billie Jean King Cup semifinals, their best result so far.
Meanwhile,
Rafael Nadal remains the main attraction ahead of the
Davis Cup’s start and received a heartfelt tribute from his peers, as well as a special award from the organisers for his commitment to the tournament throughout his career.
The Moment That Stole the Show: Alcaraz and Raducanu in Málaga
Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu have often expressed mutual respect for
each other as tennis players. The British player was spotted as a spectator at
the Wimbledon final where Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic to claim his 4th
Grand Slam title, sparking rumours about them being romantically involved.
Recently, the Spaniard even offered to team up for a potential mixed doubles
match in the future, reigniting speculation. However, all these appear to be
mere rumours.
Amidst the Billie Jean King Cup and just days before the Davis Cup
Finals, both tournaments are taking place at the Martin Carpena Arena in
Málaga, where ATP and WTA players have been found together at the same venue. A
series of images shared on the official Instagram of the LTA show several
British players relaxing on the tennis courts, including Emma Raducanu.
However, the image that caught the most attention was one showing Alcaraz
behind the British player, smiling as he watched her throw an American football.
Nadal receives heartfelt tributes from ATP Players
The ATP stars participated in a new video paying tribute to Rafael Nadal
by describing him in three words, as the 22-time Grand Slam champion prepares

professional if Spain fails to advance to the next round. Without a doubt, Rafa
has captured everyone’s attention in Málaga, where he will say his goodbyes to
the Spanish crowd.
Tributes to the legendary tennis player continue, and a new ATP video
shows how several players chose three words to describe Nadal. “Fighter,”
“Passionate,” “Fierce,” and “Legend” were some of the most repeated words from
historic players such as Stan Wawrinka, Dominic Thiem, Andy Murray, Daniil
Medvedev, as well as young stars like Ben Shelton, Sebastian Korda, and Holger
Rune, among many others.
Tonight, Nadal also received the special ‘Davis Cup Commitment Award.’
The 38-year-old player holds an incredible 29-1 record in singles over 23 ties
and remains unbeaten in the tournament for the last 20 years.
