Following her spectacular title run at last week's
Charleston Open, the in-form
Danielle Collins continues to rack up points in preparation for the 2024
Olympic Games in Paris.
The American has been red-hot over the past two weeks, accumulating an unprecedented 13-match win streak that has seen her capture consecutive titles in Miami and Charleston. Defying the odds, Collins resumed her amazing performance that saw her overpower seeded players like Ons Jabeur, Maria Sakkari and Daria Kasatkina in the final to add another title during what could be her final year on tour.
The 30-year old has doubled her total number of career titles in just two weeks, going from two to four with the most recent conquests. Furthermore, Collins has seen her ranking rise from 53rd to World No.15 during that span. The icing on the cake is that the Florida native has leapfrogged compatriot
Madison Keys in the race for qualification for the Olympic Games in Paris this summer. Among American women, Collins currently sits 521 points ahead of Keys, sparked by her incredible performance over the last few weeks. With only a limited number of spots available for US players, Collins could end her final season on tour with a showing at the Olympics.
