Diana Shnaider and Mirra Andreeva continue to showcase why they are one of the best partnerships in tennis, claiming the Brisbane International doubles title. The Russian duo triumphed over local player Priscilla Hon and Anna Kalinskaya in a closely contested match, winning 7-6, 7-5.

During the off-season, Shnaider and Andreeva announced plans to compete together in more doubles events this year, including all Grand Slam and WTA 1000 tournaments. Their first week together has already yielded their maiden title as a duo.

The two have previously teamed up with notable success. At Paris 2024, they partnered in women’s doubles and secured a silver medal, reaching the final but falling to the Italian pair of Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini.

Their path to the Brisbane title included victories over Sorribes Tormo/Kichenok, Ons Jabeur/Paula Badosa, and the Japanese pair Aoyama/Hozumi in the semifinals. In the doubles rankings, Shnaider climbs to World No. 37, while Andreeva climbs to World No. 51.

Shnaider now heads to Melbourne to prepare for the Australian Open, while Andreeva will compete at the Adelaide International, where she faces Linda Noskova. Interestingly, Andreeva recently defeated Noskova in Brisbane with a commanding 6-3, 6-0 victory.
