Emma Raducanu is looking for the tenth coach of her career after Nick Cavaday stepped away from her team to focus on his health so it wasn't a decision to sack her childhood mentor from the former US Open champion.

After chopping and changing coaches frequently in the early years of her career, she has been undergoing the most stable period of her career.

She will play the Singapore Tennis Open on Thursday evening as she assesses his options but is not in a rush to make an appointment.

‘I’d like to thank Nick for a great partnership over the last year and a bit, especially being post-surgeries he helped get me back inside the world’s top 60,’ said Raducanu, 22. ‘I wish him all the best in his next chapter and no doubt we’ll stay in touch.’

'I am glad Emma is back to being established on tour now with a ranking inside the top 60 and I look forward to seeing what she does from here.’

Nick Cavaday has struggled with his health recently missing a few tournaments as a result and is taking time away. She has recently hired fitness trainer Yutaka Nakamura joined at the end of last year and he may temporarily take over as Cavaday leaves the post.

‘I am very happy to have been able to work with Emma over the last 14 months.

'At this moment in time, it’s important for me to spend some more time at home and prioritise getting back to full health which is hard to do with the extensive calendar.

Raducanu played at the Australian Open but was easily beaten by Iga Swiatek in a damning result for her own ambitions but in Singapore, it is only her, Anna Kalinskaya and Elise Mertens as top seeds in a good chance for the Brit to get some form on the board.
