Emma Raducanu won't just rely on being given wildcards and spots into British grass court tournaments this summer as she will combat Europe for the first time on her journey with the Berlin Ladies Open Entry List set.
Raducanu has received a wildcard into the Berlin Ladies Open from June 14-22, 2025 and will head to Europe the week after Queen's which is the first week after Roland Garros.
She could've played Nottingham or even waited until Eastbourne but instead will play in a more competitive field instead. She joins Naomi Osaka and Eva Lys in receiving wildcard spots.
Also in action are most of the top ten including Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Jasmine Paolini, Mirra Andreeva and Madison Keys. As well as Zheng Qinwen, Emma Navarro, Paula Badosa and on the fringes Diana Shnaider, Elena Rybakina and Elina Svitolina.
Karolina Muchova, Belinda Bencic, Daria Kasatkina and Donna Vekic currently round out the field. Most of whom are also following Raducanu's route of playing Queen's then not staying in the UK for the weeks that follow.
So far in her career, Raducanu has often played in the UK and has not been to Europe for grass. With being the top British female player for some time, she has received spots in Birmingham, Nottingham and now Queen's as well as Eastbourne.
But Birmingham has lost its spot on the calendar and Nottingham is less populated by top names despite retaining it's status for 2025. So it leaves mainly Queen's and Eastbourne.
While other tournaments like Libema Open 's-Hertogenbosch have suffered due to Queen's, the week after does not have the same issues and Raducanu is the latest to sign up. She is also joined by Mark Petchey for the whole grass court foray so will be eager to impress.
