Emma Raducanu spotted boarding a bus weeks after £125,000 Porsche seized, hits back at national newspapers

Emma Raducanu was spotted boarding a bus weeks after her Porsche which is worth £125,000 and used it to hit back at national newspapers who analyse her every move.

Raducanu who is currently injured was pictured waiting at a bus stop in London before boarding the 345 bus to South Kensington. Wearing a gilet, knit jumper, leggings and oversized sunglasses, it soon started to gain column inches on newspapers.

Raducanu shared a screenshot of the article to her story with several laughing emojis and a newspaper. Earlier this month, it was reported that she had lost the £125,000 dream car which she had received as part of an ambassadorial agreement. While she remains part of the Porsche brand, some believed that it was taken away as a sign that she was on her way out.

"Whenever I would turn up to practice in the morning I would see his Porsche,” the 2021 US Open champion said. "I would go, 'Wow!' and be dreaming of one day sitting in my own."

A statement from Porsche said to the contrary. "Emma Raducanu is a global brand ambassador for Porsche and there have not been any changes within our successful partnership since it started in 2022. We are very happy with our partnership."

It was confirmed last week that her stock had plummeted commercially with the Brit not holding onto her spot in a marketability list unlike Gauff or Djokovic who have kept or increased their value. She ranked top 25 last year in terms of athletes. But since then has not returned to her prior success on her return to the court.

Albeit in terms of her Porsche, she was seen behind the wheel of a £100k Cayenne replacing her long-term car, the Dacia Sandero. But likely in this case due to ULEZ and other such charges, Raducanu decided to take the bus. She is currently due to return to action in a few weeks at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.
