Only days after confirming her participation at the Transylvania Open Raducanu pulled out of the event due to another injury.
A terrible 2022 continues for Raducanu as she suffered another injury forcing her to miss time. The Brit was in action in Ostrava a few days ago losing to Kasatkina in a well-played match by both. The event posted a video on social media where Raducanu confirmed her participation in Cluj only to now pull out days after it. The announcement was made by the event on social media:
"Sadly, Emma Raducanu is forced to withdraw from Transylvania Open due to a wrist injury. Get well fast, Emma! We’re looking forward to see you soon."
It's unclear what the issue is as Raducanu has not provided any sort of comment however she did appear to have some wrist issues during her match with Kasatkina. Her next scheduled event is the WTA 100 event in Mexico.
