Jiangxi Open Nanghang WTA 2025: Entry List, Schedule of Play, Prize Money, Draw, Results and Predictions

The 2025 WTA 250 Jiangxi Open will celebrate its ninth edition from October 27 to November 2, marking the final week of competition on the WTA Tour before the WTA Finals.

The event has been part of the WTA calendar since 2016, with a pause between 2020 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The defending champion is Switzerland’s Viktorija Golubic, who claimed the title by defeating Slovakia’s Rebecca Šramková 6-3, 7-5 in the final — both players are returning this year as seeded participants.

The Jiangxi Open, held at the Jiujiang International Tennis Center in Nanchang, has previously crowned several notable champions, including former World No. 1 Jelena Janković and local stars Qiang Wang (former World No. 12) and Peng Shuai (former No. 14).

This year, the tournament will feature Ann Li, Laura Siegemund, Yulia Putintseva, Polina Kudermetova, Camila Osorio, and Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah among others, all looking to close the season with valuable ranking points.

This one is hard to predict but if I'm to say a few players. Ella Seidel stands out as a star on the rise, she's been great lately.

Of course big name wise Yulia Putintseva has to be favoured as well as Anna Blinkova, Polina Kudermetova and even the defending champion Viktorija Golubic.

A good standard for WTA 250 awaits with no huge names to potentially take the tournament away. Just perhaps surprising that some others have not entered this one.
