Eugenie Bouchard dating Taylor Fritz? Why rumours shouldn't be believed amid social media conjecture

Eugenie Bouchard was at Wimbledon appearing in the Royal Box and also was a focal point of the BBC coverage of the tournament receiving rave reviews for her analysis and court coverage. But one fan decided to start a rumour which got so far that it had to be refuted by Rennae Stubbs.
Bouchard played her last professional tennis match in the second round at the 2025 Canadian Open last season and now 32, she switched to pickleball initially but has found a home in doing coverage for TNT Sports, BBC among others at tournaments.
Having been a former Wimbledon finalist who is very much part of the new generation in regards to being social media savvy and also knowing how to use the limelight to further her own ambitions compared to a lot of other tennis stars, Bouchard's brand was a big part of her career.
Getting fixated attention on her, she took a fan on a date for predicting the Super Bowl winner and has been in the limelight even post tennis more so for who she has been dating than her on court play. Taylor Fritz is kind of similar with the American dating the social media influencer Morgan Riddle for a number of years until recently.

Riddle herself isn't going to stay away from tennis with the American saying she already has contracts for the US Open so an awkward reunion could happen. But it won't be on Eugenie Bouchard's arm with the fan rumour that they are dating refuted.
Fritz lost to Alexander Zverev 6-4, 6-4, 6-2. A few days after Wimbledon, a fan wrote a tweet seemingly designed more to fool people. "Genie Bouchard is reportedly dating Taylor Fritz," the tweet said.

To which Stubbs replied, she confirmed that she had met Bouchard's boyfriend recently who reportedly is Ian Hathaway, Open AI's startup fund partner. "Let me correct myself and you! News to me, considering I met her actual BOYFRIEND last week," Stubbs responded.
Hathaway leads the investment fund of US AI research company OpenAI, the chatmaker of ChatGPT. Bouchard has dated a variety of people including former NFL quarterback Mason Rudolph, investment banker Conor Davis and ice hockey player Jordan Caron.

But it is not Taylor Fritz who she is currently dating. Of course they would know each other at least semi well due to the fact that both have been on the tour for many years but it is less likely we get a Sinner-Kalinskaya or Boulter-De Minaur in this situation as a fan rumour has been refuted.
While Bouchard has not commented on the rumours, she has been heavily active on social media sharing photos of her time at Wimbledon including outfits she has worn on TV and also the Royal Box where she was invited. She donned a collared dress with printed ribbons and looked the part.
"What an honour to be invited to the Royal Box. Every time I played on this court, I always looked up to see who was there. Never thought I would sit in the box myself one day. It was as perfect as you’d imagine! The company, the tea break, and of course the tennis. Thank you, Deborah & @wimbledon," Bouchard said on Instagram.
