With Russian and Belarusian players forced to withdraw from this year's Wimbledon, it's possible that Eugenie Bouchard could find herself in the main draw of the prestigious event.
The Canadian is listed as the first alternate entrant on the Wimbledon main draw entry list, who's release had been delayed due to the announcement of the ban on Russian and Belarusian players.
Following this revelation, Bouchard could find herself in the main draw should another player withdraw from the tournament. Considering that the WTA and ATP have stripped Wimbledon of ranking points, there is the possibility that some players could opt to skip the event.
Bouchard has been on hiatus since having shoulder surgery last summer, but the 28-year old has been leaning towards as return. The 2014 Wimbledon finalist has kept fans updated with her progress, posting videos of herself training as she prepares to return to the tour. Furthermore, she has competed in exhibition events over the past few months and seems primed for a return at the All England Club.
